News from the other ACC Trophy Elite semi-final at the adjoining ground KOC Hubara is that Malaysia have won the toss and have elected to field.

Welcome to the ball-by-ball commentary from the Afghanistan v Hong Kong semi-final at KOC Unity.

It's a hazy day in the mid-20s Centigrade and the hottest news of the day is that Mohammad Nabi, Afghanistan's star all-rounder is in the team having flown in at midnight once his visa to Kuwait was secured.

Afghanistan say they've been missing him on the field and he is undoubtedly a class-performer capable of dominating an innings with either bat or ball.

Afghanistan's team is:

Afghanistan: Nowroz Mangal (Captain), Karim Sadiq, Raees Ahmadzai, Hamid Hassan, Asghar Stanekzai, Mohammad Shahzad, Mohammad Nabi, Noor Ali Noori, Mirwais Ashraf, Shahpoor Zadran, Samiullah Shinwari, 12th Man Nasratullah Nasrat

Hong Kong are defending champions of the ACC Trophy and are as keen as Afghanistan to go all the way to the title.

Their team for this semi-final is:
Najeeb Amar (Captain)
Roy Lamsam
Moner Ahmed
Irfan Ahmed
Nadeem Ahmed
Waqas Barkat
Hussain Butt
Ilyas Gull
Asif Khan
Nizakat Khan
Nasir Hameed
Vikash Vaswani 12th Man

Match starts at 9.00 AM Kuwait time (0600 hrs GMT)
