Javeria Wadood and Bismah Maarof took their places and brought the score up to 50 runs before Bismah was dismissed caught by Rumana Ahmed off Fahima Khatun at 10.5 overs, after 11 runs. Salma Khatun then sent batsman Javeria out for just 18 runs.

At 13.4 overs, Kainat Imtiaz was dismissed caught by Nigar Sultana off Rumana Ahmed for 3, leaving Pakistan with 57 for 5. Nida Rashid and Sana Mir were able to hold their grounds up to the last over, swinging three boundaries along the way – but was restricted by Bangladesh’s fielders, leaving Pakistan to end their innings at just 95 for 5.

It seemed as if Bangladesh’s low run rate would have won Pakistan the match – by the 4th over, only 14 runs were made. The first wicket was to Nashra Sundhu; after a stump by Sidra Nawaz dismissed Ayasha Rahman for 5. Bangladesh’s opener Shamima Sultana fought back with a four in the 6th over, bringing the team 20.
